Taj Gibson to Twolves for 2/28.

Our big man options are really drying up. It's going to be interesting to see what Danny does at the 4 spot.

Source: Free agent forward Serge Ibaka has reached deal on three-year, $65M contract to stay with the Toronto

Wow.  So basically Toronto is going to either...

1.  Let Lowry walk.
2.  Trade DeMarr DeRozen or DeMarre Carrol or Valanciunas.
3.  Pay the luxury tax for a team that has zero chance to win a title and probably can't even make the conference finals.

Man, I like what Minny is doing so far. Might need another shooter, but their offseason is shaping up nicely.

There's still Milsap and Illyasova, but I have to wonder if a trade doesn't make more sense if we sign Hayward.  We've got several guys that there's no way we'll be able to resign if we've already got two max contracts on the roster.

Two of Tom T's favorite exBulls... That is a pretty good looking roster but the west is still stacked. The Twolves should make the playoffs but who falls out in the west. Utah without Hayward would be my guess...

I think Utah even with Hayward would be fighting for a playoff spot. I like Gobert and Favors, but they don't have enough there. Rubio doesnt move the needle for them.

Honestly, at this point Utah might be fighting tooth and nail just to make the playoffs even with Hayward. Here's how I have them ranked:

Tier 1: GS

Tier 2: SA, Houston, OKC

Tier 3: Utah, Portland (w/ Nurkic), Denver (w/ Millsap), Minny, LAC, Memphis, NO, Dallas

Tier 4: LAL, Sacramento, Phoenix

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Minny, Denver, and Portland all take big jumps again this year with their roster additions from the deadline, draft, or free agency. I think Utah has first round fodder written all over it with no real chance of significantly improving.

Many pieces are falling with huge, long contracts in many cases. Let's keep optimistic until we see what happens with Hayward. Gallinari would be a good plan B, and Millsap (no more than 3-year contract) a possible plan C.

I agree they'd be lucky to make the playoffs as serval teams have improved including non playoff teams last year: Pelicans, Nuggets, Timberwolves...

LOL Ibaka staying with Toronto for 3 years/65M?? I mean, that's not too bad considering many here thought that he would command a max contract..  :o

But what's Toronto's plan? Going into the luxury tax for what's likely a 4 seed? Maybe 3? Still no shot at Cleveland no other ways to improve besides making trades (which would gut parts of the team anyways).

Maybe I'm overeacting a tad to.the Minnesota offseason, but I'm willing to put them in that tier 2 with the mix of great youth and veteran leadership plus Thibs. They definitely could use some shooting I guess. That is gonna be a tough team though.

Thanks to jpotter for redirecting me here

So,  according to a Croatian (I guess) source, Milos Teodosic is coming to the Bulls with a 48/4 contract.

And Taj Gibson with a 28/2 deal to Minny

That's more good news for us. The Jazz were supposedly favorites for Teodosic at one time.

Ibaka 65/3 at Toronto

@jpotter I'm a bit puzzled with the Teodosic signing. Never been a great fun - he sure is a great playmaker but he is inconsistent and a bad on ball defender, and that's by Euroleague standards. The Bulls better know what they are doing.
