  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I'm drinking a homebrewed Breakfast Stout and trying to zone out for an hour before I go to bed. I'm kind of succeeding.

Sometimes I won't measure out the amount of alcohol and mixers I put in a drink. Sometimes more, sometimes less.  All depends on the size of the glass.  You can pretty much mix these drinks to your own particular liking

A) Dr. Pepper

1) 1 shot of amaretto & a half glass of beer.

2) take the shot glass containing the amaretto and drop it into the 1/2 filled glass of beer & chug it.  Tastes just like Dr. Pepper.

*There's a recipe on-line that used 3/4 shot of amaretto with 1/4 shot of 151 on top of that & then lighting it on fire...however, I'm not a fan of 151.

B) York Peppermint Pattie

1) Dr. McGillicuddy's peppermint schnapps (or any brand you so choose)

2) chocolate milk.

*you can also use Godiva liqueur and regular milk to create chocolate milk and also increasing alcohol content of the drink at the same time.

C) Cherry Cola

1) cherry schnapps

2) your favorite cola.

D) Cream Soda

1) vanilla schnapps

2) root beer

I drink mostly schanpps or just plain, old, regular beer.  Don't really have any recipes with vodka, outside of the standard Screwdriver, Cape Codder, or plain old jungle juice aka killer kool-aid (fruit punch with vodka).

My girlfriend tends to be more creative when it comes to all this mixed drink stuff...Give any of the above drinks a try, they taste pretty good & get the job done, if you're looking to get intoxicated.

breakfast Stouth? nice - our homebrewing has slowed to a standstill with the weather, hopefully start back up by March.  Our last few batches have not come out good - did a double IPA which we refrigerated too early, reactivated and about 6 months later is drinkable, but not amazing.  Then did a Liberty IPA which is undrinkable, we think something went wrong with the yeast

I mostly drink ales of all different sorts, porters, actually almost any kind of beer that is not a pilsner. Pilsners are okay for hot summer days but I generally like stuff that kind of lingers.

For drinks, here is my absolute favorite*:

*Hint: The Drink, not The Dude, though I like him too.

The truth is that I am a coffeeholic.

Really, my favorite drink is a "Hot Nutty Irishman".

Into 1 cup of hot black coffee pour:

1 jigger each of
    Frangelica
    Irish Cream
    Irish Mist

Top with whipped cream if desired (I don't)

At the bar I work at one of the bartenders gave me a "kool-aid" shot.  It had vodka, amaretto, sloe gin, triple sec and cranberry juice.  I actually would make this as a drink.  It was delicious and tasted just like kool-aid.
do it

First, you have to like kool-aid! ha ha ha ha ha ha...it must be a taste acquired in childhood, and I never acquired it.
