Brad isn't leaving the Celtics to go coach at Indiana unless he's fired. Which he won't be.

I assume Brad wouldn't have signed on for a big extension to continue as Celts head coach if he felt that he was leaning toward returning to college.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Yeah, he had three years remaining when he re-upped, and anyone paying attention to Indiana could see that Miller was on an incredibly hot seat.  He likely only kept his job last year because the season was cut short by Covid, so he couldn’t miss the tourney/bow out in the first round and inspire boosters to pony up for his buyout.

In this day and age contracts do not mean that much. If Brad wants out he will get out.

That’s true, but it’s also true that if Brad wanted the Indiana job he would have had it this season.

Well there is this:  https://twitter.com/jeffborzello/status/1371492208294166531?s=20

Michigan/Big 10 fans (like myself) have been expecting John Beilein would be offered the job.  He supposedly turned down the BC opening earlier this year, and has expressed a desire to return to coaching, so it seems plausible he had something else in mind.
