Hoping for some solid play from Waters. He's been looking good lately.

I would love it if he gets some play time tonight

I'm a fan of Wanamaker's game, but I'd love us to go big and start Timelord alongside Theis.

Smart - Brown - Tatum - Theis - Timelord

would match perfectly against

Joseph - Hield - Barnes - Bjelica - Holmes

Theis is quick enough to defend Bjelica on the perimeter. Bjelica isn't quick enough to defend the Smart-Theis pick n roll.

Not to menton, we would give Timelord extensive minutes to develop his game.
Your lineup isn't going to happen. Sorry.

You see, Theis and Timelord have been on the court together for a whole 12 seconds this year. The Celtics have played 43500 seconds of ball. Theis and Timelord together have played for 12 seconds.

Brad isn't putting his two best centers in the game together.

True, but this may be a good opportunity to experiment. how about starting Theis and Kanter. I think they would be a pretty tough matchup for most teams

The "never have, never will" argument is a false one this case.  Team was short on quality centers (remember Kanter was out) so those two have been covering that position, with a bit of Grant thrown in.  With Kanter back, I could easily see Stevens trying this lineup.

I would also like to see waters get some burn. Waters could be a good match up against Yogi Ferrell.

Theis is now listed as questionable with an illness.

I wonder if Stevens will give Waters a part of the back court minutes or do something different.

I wonder if Grant will hit a three.

I wonder if ever, in Brad Stevens history as coach, the Celtics will "go big"...

Kanter, Theis, Grant, Robert with Edwards just bringing the ball up the court and launching a three or an alley oop every time.

It's a big lineup but, it's an inexpensive line up. I think all of their game checks add up to one of Kemba's game checks.

Go Celtics!

I agree with the bigger line up.  Smart and Wanamaker shouldn't be on the court at the same time.  They need to alternate.  If you are going to start Theis, go with Ojeleye or Kanter.  It is not that it is such a great line up, it is just what we are forced to do.

Stevens not saying who will start for Walker and Theis.

My guess is Wanamaker and R. Williams, with a lot of minutes for Edwards and Waters at PG.

I think a better guess would be increased minutes to Edwards and Green. Kemba has been playing the two on offense since Smart went into the starting lineup. I think that means to start and end halves it will be Smart and Wanamaker, but I think they play as little time together as possible, maybe pulling Wanamaker after a few minutes then switching them in and out for each other until returning to close out halves for a couple minutes together.

I think Edwards could see a couple minutes but I wouldn't expect more than that without someone being in foul trouble.
