Summer league MVP is't all its cracked up to be.  It looks to like only three of these guys lived up to the hype.

2019
Brandon Clarke
2018
Josh Hart
2017
Lonzo Ball
2016
Tyus Jones
2015
Kyle Anderson
2014
Glen Rice Jr.
2013
Jonas Valanciunas
2012
Damian Lillard
2012
Josh Selby
2010
John Wall
2009
Blake Griffin
2008
Jerryd Bayless
2007
Nate Robinson
2006
Randy Foye

Lets wait and see how Clarke and G. Will fair in the real NBA before we make comparisons and pass judgment.  Also we haven't seen anything of our actual top pick.  Given how much Brad and Danny seemed to like Langford and given how well everyone else we drafted this year played, I expect that he'll be really good.

Old School - that is a pretty impressive list of players who did become stars.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

A few of these guys became stars, but they also happened to be the ones picked at or near the top of the draft.

3 of them are stars, and 2 of those 3 were #1 picks. It's also an impressive list of flops like Selby, Bayless, Randy Foye and Glen Rice Jr.

My guess is Clarke will end up similar to Jonas V in terms of impact. A reliable 25MPG solid contributor on good teams, but a guy who is able to play 30+MPG on weak teams.
