That isn't a flagrant 2.  Flagrant 1 was the correct call.

Definitely a dirty move by Lebron.  However, it also looks like Embiid was kicking out his legs to try and exaggerate it in the end.

No doubt about it, though.  That's a dangerous play by Lebron.

Of course like 60 second later, Embiid is throwing elbows to the head of Davis so I don't have much sympathy for him (also a flagrant 1 and not the ejectable flagrant 2).

And while that was not a basketball play and a flagrant was warranted, Lebron didn't push him, he had his arms out and was almost protecting himself from Embiid flying at him.  Again, he made contact in the stomach and made no attempt at the ball, but that is pretty clearly not a vicious flagrant 2 type hit and certainly didn't warrant an ejection.

Embiid with a stiff arm to face on the play.

Not even close to a flagrant 2. I'm not even sure Lebron pushed him. Looks more like he was attempting to hold off Embiid from running him over. Also, Embiid sure seemed to be doing his fair share of acting while writhing on the floor in pain. Kinda like what Lebron does all the time.

It's really great to see two of the whiniest players in the league annoying each other over baby fouls and flops

Embiid's wrong, BUT I kind of agree with him that if this were any other player (including Embiid himself if roles were reversed here), they probably would get a Flagrant 2 called on them.

I'm fairly certain there is a clause in the rule book that says LeBron cannot be called for a Flagrant 2.  Probably put in there as part of CBA negotiations.

Pushing a basketball player while he is air borne on purpose is one of the most dangerous things you can do. The player has lost his ability to properly navigate his landing and weight distribution.   It is why Gordon Hayward's career was practically ruined (Jae Crowder and, I believe, Lebron, gave him a slight push while he was air borne).

Maybe it doesn't constitute a flagrant 1 or 2, but it should.

I'm sure there are instances (probably many) where it has happened to Lebron over the years, and he feels he has every right to do it.

He is lucky that Embiid wasn't seriously hurt.

Glad I got that off my chest!

Against Hayward, Lebron made a legitimate play on the ball.  There was contact but Lebron didn't push Hayward.  This two handed push against Embiid was just a pure cheap shot to prevent being posterized.  Lebron was completely under the basket and made no attempt on the ball.  Gasol also gave Embiid a slight push from behind.  I wouldn't call it a flagrant 2 but I think Embiid is right that he would have been tossed if he did it to Lebron.
