It's too bad the Red Sox can't play the Angels every night. :)

I think its a shame they can't play against good pitchers every night.

Back to back  to back wins against

King felix, Jared Weaver, and Dan Haren

Thats impressive!

I was wondering when we'd see the first major Francona meltdown ... don't blame him at all on this one, what a stupid double-standard call and uncalled-for follow-up by Joe West, sticking his nose where it didn't belong, (as usual).

Sure would be nice to get out of last place in the AL East and at least get to .500, but we knew after that horrendous start it would be a struggle to get going. Thankfully it's a long season, and I think it's coming together ... slowly.

I imagine the Red Sox will make it back to .500 by the end of May, but they are still figuring it out . . . they've had a couple stretches where they play really well but it seems as though they can't really sustain it.  There are nights when their hitting just isn't there at all, and other nights where the pitching is just bad.  The bullpen is still pretty weak.

I expect the Red Sox to finish the season in second in the AL East, but I don't expect them to make it into the playoffs as the Wild Card.

We'll see, though.

Lackey needs to go.  Lester and Beckett have been great, absolute studs.  Buchholz last few starts have been very promising, he had control issues early on, but the walks have been down as of late.  Dice-K is doing just fine as your 5th starter, ERA is mid 4, but hes keeping them in games.  Lackey on the other hand, has had some terrible starts.  We have him for another 3 seasons after this one, it's awful.  We need to find someone to take him off their hands, I don't care if we need to pay 85% of the contract.  He's been a major mistake of a signing.  Where's Pedro?
do it

That would open up a spot in our rotation for King Felix.   ;D   Not sure who we'd trade for him.  But as long is there's a spot open it means there's some hope.

Good to see the Red Sox took a page out of the Bruins playbook tonight.  Ouch.  A lousy day for Boston sports.

Red Sox still have a lot of work to do on the bullpen.

Wow, that inning was hilariously bad. I blame the uniforms.
