It goes on to say that if Danny can't get an "Impact Player" that he will select Jaylen Brown as his guy. Thoughts ?

You gotta admit that Jaylen Brown does fit right into what Danny is looking for. A big strong defensive shot blocker who's struggled to shoot the ball. Kind of like Marcus Smart who's a great defender but needs to work on his shooting. I think Jaylen will be a good fit defensively. He can also guard on the perimeter as well. He's a nightmare in the paint and a high flyer I can see Smart throwing up Alley-oops to Brown finishing them off at the rim.

I guess that's if Danny doesn't trade the pick. I'm all in for drafting Jaylen Brown this team will be better defensively. Then we can sign a Dudley to come off the bench for the 3 game 👍

Bender and Brown are the two I would like from the pick so the report pleases me. However it is from Blakely who tends to just rehash old rumours so I'm skeptical

This makes total sense to me and I was going to write a speculative post this morning on how Brown looks like the Cs target in the top 8. Two year ago when Smart was drafted he worked out for the Cs twice (i believe the 4th and 14th). DA has a habit of bringing guy in more then once for workouts. The fact that only Murray and Brown have worked out in Boston with Bender rumored to be coming leads me to believe the pick is a 3 prospect race. Out of those three only Brown fits the mold for the type of player DA looks to build with.

As for trading the pick this isn't new knew we all know that DAs option 1. is to move this pick for a player that can help this team now. In a perfect situation I am selfishly hoping this trade involves moving the #3 to a team in the #6-#10 for the pick and a starting caliber player. I'll stick with my earlier post and suggest #3 for #7 and Faried, or #3 for #10 and Monroe.

Thought murray was in the picture. Looks like they like brown better. Cbs has stated he likes brown

Brown, sabonis, richardson would be nice

Yeah while the possibilities are many for potential for #3 deals, I dont think we will see great offers for it.

It seems a pecking order for talent outside the top two isnt going to develop before the draft, that hurts the value of the pick.

If there is a deal out there to be made, DA will find it but personally Im getting ready for Jaylen Brown to be the next Boston Celtic.

If anyone has been reading my posts all year, I'd be thrilled with Brown.  He has been my guy all year.  I thought he was second best in the draft behind Simmons, which is where he was ranked coming out of high school as well, #2 in the country behind Simmons.  I will have to admit, Chriss is intriguing, but I'm staying the course and selecting Brown at #3.

The pick's greatest value to this team is traded.

As for Brown, he's an improvement over the Euromistake, and we know how much Danny likes non-shooters.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

Brown or Bender I'd be happy with either.

Brown, Bender or Murray for me. I can get behind any of those picks.

It makes sense but it's Sherrod. So Murray will actually be the guy

As others said, this is Sherrod, so its likely to be inaccurate at best.

I'd prefer Bender, Murray, or Okafor over Brown.  He just doesn't look like he has any special skills other than his body.  The other 3 guys each have skills that I would be excited about.

Right. This is basically a non-story purely on the basis of the source.

I still take any rumor about who is going to be picked with a grain of salt.

Now is the time to lie to the "draft insiders" unless you are locked into the 1st overall pick and have a clear choice.

I do believe that they are looking to trade the pick for an impact player.
