How about starting PP at the 2 and JGreen at the 3?  I mean, I really think JGreen can be such a stud at the 3.

This is the perfect chance now Doc.  Don't screw it up now!!!

Paul Pierce would be a really, really bad SG at this stage in his career.

PP has been horrible the past few seasons.  This more about JGreen and playing him where can dominate.  PP is past his prime.  The key to the future is RR, AB, JG.  So let get started.

uhhhhh what?

This past season, Pierce played horrible due to being out of shape to start the season, got in shape, dominated, had a fluke knee sprain, and then struggled against the two best defensive SFs in the NBA.

As for the past few seasons, Pierce had been easily a top 5 SF, and the only people you could really put ahead of him at SF were LBJ and Durant who are arguably the #1 and #2 best players in the NBA (I personally put the #1 and #3).

If all we basically have now is the Vet. Minimum what about guys like Michael Redd or Steve Novak??

two three point specialist who could stretch the floor and fill that Ray spot during end of quarters/halfs/games/free-throw-tag moments of the game.

I want Pietrus. Really nice guy to root for.
Decent player but is limited offensively and commits too many dumb fouls to be considered a real good defender.

He got caught in the air a few times while defending on an island, the best player in the world since prime Shaq.  He was a great defender for us and owned Wade this season.

As for his shooting woes, he never got back on track after his injury, but I expect he'll be back to 40-42% 3 point shooting form next season.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Let's sign Pietrus back. We owe it to him a little i guess to bring him back since Ray is gone.

It's ON Ray Allen, ITS ON!

Always thought of Redd as the poor man's Ray Allen. I'd take him.

I'm not sure what's more confusing: the idea that Pierce has been awful, or the idea that Green is likely to dominate.

PP has been average at best .  No doubt.  I hope we are not going in with PP as our primary weapon.....cause ain't going to happen.  As for JG, when he is aloud to play the 3, he really is a tough cover.  Too long, and quick for most 3s.

Another vet min guy I would want is Delonte West. Him and Terry played together in Dallas, so they should have some nice continuity playing together off the bench.
