I gotta say, I already like him a lot just based on his personality.

Credit to Kemba for making that piece more a gesture of appreciation to Charlotte, not a pump-up to Boston. He seems content to let his game do the talking.

Thankful to have a team first guy at PG. Refreshing after Kyrie.

He seems like a very genuine, down to earth and likable player. I've always thought highly of him, but it's different when it's some other team's star player. You don't really dig too deep.

This line stood out:

So we’re going to grind for those buckets….. we’re going to grind for those stops….. but I’ll tell you what else: we’re going to have some fun out there. And you can bet we’re going to be fun to watch.

Boy am I looking forward to fun Celtic basketball

Anyway, great piece - awesome guy. Hopefully his start turns out better than Hayward's (I vividly remember his Player's Tribune piece when he signed here). These two, plus the young guys are going to be very enjoyable to watch. I only wish Al could have been convinced to stick around.

When he starting talking about his leadership style all I could think of is... what a breath of fresh air.

Kemba actually understands what it means to be a leader.

I’m excited. Obviously he’s a great player who I think will thrive under CBS, but his high-character will be perfect (and refreshing) here.

Even if we don’t get an impact big, I want to see what the youngsters can do (both Robert and Grant Williams). Resign Theis and hope to find a decent enough big for 2yr/$9.8M.

This team will be fun to watch. I think everyone involved will be much happier and dedicated after having Irving’s and Rozier’s drama gone.

I trust DA will explore every opportunity to bring in a big, so even if we don’t, I don’t think he has to panic and move either Smart or Brown to do so. He will figure it out.

Yep. Get 1 or 2 solid bigs and then let's get ready for next season!

Horford is a huge loss, but I think Kyrie and Rozier bolting is essentially an "addition by subtraction" kind of move.

The Jays and Hayward will need to do better for sure though going forward.

Amazing well written piece of writing. Great person and I am thoroughly impressed by how he put his thoughts together in that. He says he is a winner, well, our town loves winners. He says he leads by example, well, we definitely like to see actions back up words and not words having little meaning. He likes to make his teammates better.....as a goal for a great player, this is great to see. Watch this be the one player MJ drafted that actually turns into a superstar on the grandest stage of them all and wins us a few finals with his new team. He will never curse or shout at someone on the court on his team and make things about taking it to a negative place. Love that.

Sounds like a perfect fit for our team. Cannot wait!
