I'm curious too.

Did the sign and trade benefit the Celtics in any way?

Or did it help Charlotte more because they were already over the cap even with Kemba leaving?

The team went over the cap and now we can sign players for full MLE in contrast to the room exception prior to the trade.

I believe Rozier had a 10 million dollar cap hold and we signed him for 19 million and change, then moved him. So we got like 9 million in cap space we didn't have before.

Not unless BKN or PHI cooperates - Danny has his work cut out for him there.

As for the original question, it doesn't really matter. We were losing Rozier anyway and we are stealing their best player - might as well do them a solid.
