Ehh, well thanks for your playoff Al games. Those games where you put up only 6 points and 3 rebounds, didn't enjoy them at all.

Hopefully, you can start putting up mediocre/below average stats within the next four years.

Good guy but man.  Kinda glad he's gone.  Thought we overpaid for him initially and we can see he wants money first which is fine so let philly overpay

Thanks for the memories Al. You'll be one of my favourite modern centers.

Horford was my favorite Celtic and remains one of my favorite players in the league despite the team he's on.

THIS hurts.

I'd think he saw his best chance to get a ring there. He's right too. Philly just got much bigger and brighter.

I think he wanted to be a PF too.

Thanks Al for the heart and leadership you brought to the team over the years. All the best... except when you're playing us.

Him going to Philly was my worst fear. This is about the same as Ray Allen to the Heat.

Can't blame him for going for the money at age 33. Good luck!

How much more money does he need?

I was wrong to guess he was after a ring next

If you have a chance for money and a ring, I guess you go there. Ultimately Danny didn't want to offer him the money. Most of us wouldn't have, either.

Yeah, there many people on here trying to lock him down for $15M/yr - guess Al wasn't too keen on a team-friendly deal. Sometimes other teams just overpay your players - nothing you can do but move on to the next negotiation.
Yeah, that was nuts.  None of us would take this kind of pay cut in our job.

Great comparison, and Ray''s situation was the exact thing that occurred to me too. Philly may have been the one team I did not want Al to go to.

Big difference being Ray went somewhere for LESS money.  Much worse.  But the certainly the worst gut punch for the C's since Ray.  One could argue after Ray got traded, even told he was traded, only to have the other team back out, that Ray had a good reason to resent Danny some...add in that he wasn't clicking to well with our other stars....and the rest is history including one extra title for Lebron.

Did a great job here. Epitome of teamwork and selfless. Made everyone around him better. Represented the team with pride and passion.

Awesome Celtic.
