This game isn’t over, but they are certainly looking like “the team that was promised” tonight.

Please let this be a ASOIAF/GOT reference...

It was indeed.

only got to see the first half before having to hit the sack (you'd think my work would give me the morning off after west coast games   :(  ).  looking forward to seeing the second half tonight in DVR.

this was the team we expected to see from the beginning of the season.

Figured I was jinxing them by watching the games, so went to bed, only to get my bro's text at 2 AM, so I went and watched in all on the DVR. Best game of the season by far.  This is the team I expected to see night in and out.  Let's keep it going, fellas.

Great game. Nights like this have me firmly convinced this teams problems mostly come down to Hayward not being able to play the role the team planned for.

The Warriors are going to have to sit Cousins down if he doesn't get out of this slump by playoff time.

While I still think the Warriors are the clear favorite to win it all, it'll be interesting to see what happens to Cousins legacy if somebody beats the Warriors this year, and I think several teams in both conferences have a chance to do it, as early as the 2nd round too (not you Portland, but maybe OKC/HOU).

Cousins, who has never made the playoffs, joins the greatest team of all time, only to have them lose in the [2nd round/WCF/Finals].  While former team SAC has their best season in 13 years.

Maybe it'll be good if the Lakers do end up signing him.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

I think that'll be more on Kerr, if Cousins is this bad in the playoffs the coach needs to limit him to minutes more line with Looney/Zaza types they've started in the past.

Cousins will get a reprieve because of the injury, unless he explodes because of the reduced minutes.

My favorite part of this game was that Kyrie, Hayward, Tatum and Brown each got 13-16 shots while nobody else on the team cracked 10. That's what I've wanted to see all season.  For weeks, I've been whining about shot distribution, the need for a hierarchy and the need for us to select our 3-4 guys and ride them.  Those are supposed to be our 4 offensive guys. It should look like that every night.

This.

Hayward game log
Port 1-3 three pts
Wiz 0-2 three pts
Hou 3.-7 six pts

Ok, so I walk into a sports book and say I want the O/U for Hayward against GSW?
"Can you tease me up to 12 for 16 and thirty points, please?"
Everybody in line at the window sees the bet and says..."that guy is an idiot".

When I cash the ticket? Everybody waiting in line is thinking..."That guy is a freaking genius."

Last night:
Good Hayward + National TV Kyrie + Get outta my way Brown + Plus 25 Terry + highlight reel Smart + seven points in three minutes "it's Gino time in Oakland" Yabusele = Warriors in dissarray

"Oakland residents call California Highway Patrol looking for their basketball team."

"Local Indian restaurant takes Curry off of their menu."

"Vegas forced to adjust championship odds as addition of Yabusele interrupts algorithm."

"NBA finals preview goes horribly wrong."

"Warrior's team meeting concludes 'it's not fun anymore.'"

Man did we ever need that one.

I'm surprised Cousins didn't get two Ts on that altercation.  One for taunting Baynes and then another for shoving Tatum.  To me that was pretty clear cut.

I think that's a big part of it. We need Hayward to be our 1B guy - as talented as Tatum is, he's just to young to step into that void. Having Hayward play this way restores the natural balance of this team.

The Warriors are going to have to sit Cousins down if he doesn't get out of this slump by playoff time.

Yeah, after his first two games, the Warriors have been underwater with him on the floor.  They're routinely getting outscored; during the past fifteen games he's had a positive +/- only five times.

Offensively he's been pretty good except from 3PT.  The defense, though, is killing the Warriors.

Due to a recording malfunction I was unable to watch the game. Looking at the boxscore, though, I can see Hayward was his typical liability on both ends of the court self.  ;)

Bogut to the rescue. it will be interesting to see how much playtime he will get.
