Indiana get DeAndre Ayton

Phoenix get Kevin Durant

Utah get Ben Simmons, Cam Thomas, & 5 first round picks

It's impossible now; Ayton can't be traded to Indiana this season.

Utah makes out quite well if Simmons recovers.

Indy gets Ayton for Turner and I assume the 5 picks (can they trade that many?), that is a lot of picks for Ayton

BKN gets Mitchell, Bridges, and Turner for Durant and Simmons.  I suspect that BKN would want more for Durant and Simmons (they traded Harden for Simmons).  I don't think they would give up any picks too

Utah gets Simmons, Thomas, and 5 picks (mostly from Indy?) for Mitchell?  I think they would be happy with that

I admit to not fully understanding all the trade restriction now on Ayton but it doesn't seem that this trade works for anyone but Utah.  And I don't think BKN really wants to trade Durant anyway.  Hard to win any trade when you are sending out Durant.

The deal looks good for 3 of the 4 teams.

The Suns are coming off of a Finals loss in 21 and a 60+ win season with an under 26 age core sans CP3 and Crowder. The Mavericks loss was embarrassing, but to gut the young depth and draft picks would be a mistake. Trading those assets would only be acceptable if it creates a dynasty and a Paul-Booker-Durant-Crowder-Saric/Biyombo/Landale doesn’t do it beyond 2024.

The Pacers almost stole another future star, the Jazz would’ve had a treasure trove of picks and been able to keep or flip Simmons for even more after his stock inevitably rises, and the Nets get a good young core (which I’d like much more if they got Ayton instead of Turner).
