I’m still high on the game 5 win but I’m already stressing about game 6. This is basically it : win at home, like you’re supposed to do, and you’re in the Finals. Lose and you have to go back to Miami for a game 7 where everything can happen - and especially for the home team.

So, how are you feeling about this one ? Optimistic ? Confident ? Worried ? Haunted by old demons of 3-2 leads of teams past ?

Putting aside all the previous recent history of the Celtics in that situation (2018 was different in the sense that game 6 was on the road so harder to win for a young team like ours), to me, it really  comes down to how well we start the game. I think that if we have all our starters in and play with great intensity from the get go and get a 10+ or 15+ point lead the Heat could fold really quickly. They looked really defeated at the end of game 5 and they seem physically worn down.

I just hope we approach this one with the mindset and energy required.

Hear me and rejoice! The Miami Heat have had the privilege of being saved by the Great Forehead. You may think this is suffering. No... it is salvation. The universal scales tip toward balance because of your sacrifice. Smile... for even in defeat, you have become children of Derrick White.
Man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time.

But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons.

I mean, barring crazed shooting or Rob/Marcus being out it should really be a footstomp.

I feel that it's over. G6 will see us to the Finals. I just don't know what adjustments Miami can make on offence besides getting their guys to all of a sudden hit well-contested shots. Lowry and Butler are both hurt and rattled, Bam is wildly inconsistent, Herro's status is unknown, Strus can't hit the side of a shed - the only guy of theirs who has been reliable has been Vincent.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Like I have the last two games. I expect the C’s to win. Heat can only score of the C’s help them.

We’re better, the Heat are just as banged up as we are, and we have home court.

I’m still nervous, haha.  I felt the same way about Game 3.

Nervous but I think we take game 6 at home.

Also, Larry bird is gonna be in Boston Friday to present the new Larry bird trophy. You have to win!

Optimistic!  The Celtics are a better team than the Heat.

Only time the heat looked better was with horford out game 1 and time Lord out game 3.

As good as smart is, I would say those two are really the big difference for our defense. Especially time Lord. Only game bam looked good was when he went against the liked of Theis.

Did nothing against Williams. And Williams was blocking 3 pointers into the stands

This Heat team is a peculiar team. They're scrappy, reliant on energy and pace, I struggle to fully count them out.

IMO health is our 6th man. If we remain healthy all will take care of itself. (Also... this current Warrior team isn't the same team that won all those multiple rings. Clay isn't the same, they lack talented size too.)

I'm optimistic and thankful...win, loose, or draw, great job coming together Boston Celtics!

Series is over. Miami is dead and buried.

They have nothing left to fight with. Too banged up.

I would almost prefer for Bird not to be in attendance considering how bad the Celtics play whenever a Celtics legend is in the Garden/being honored/presenting an award :P

I agree.  Once we make that first surge, the cHeat will fold.
