I get that they had a shortened spring training, but come on.  Let him at least try to get a perfect game.  It has happened just 23 times in history and out he goes after just 80 pitches.

The shortened spring training is making all pitchers for every team, pitch in this range. He is also 34 with a pretty decent injury history. I could understand them letting him pitch the 8th, but hard to imagine they let him go 110 or whatever it would take to complete the game. It would have been cool though.
