Schroder was great tonight, but that last play was a head scratcher. I'm surprised they didn't go to Tatum, and when Schroder drove and got bottled up I'm surprised he went with a contested turnaround jumper on a taller defender rather than passing the ball. Even just using more clock would have been huge for us.
It was just a bad play to run at the end. Becoming a pattern there.
I'm never a huge fan of the 100% isolation play on a game winning possession, but it seems to be the go to play almost all of the time. Schroder is not afraid of the moment, and has taken the last shot a few times now, even with Tatum on the court. I like having options, but Tatum really does need to be the guy handling the ball at the start of those possessions.
