He does look broader though. Over the last month of the season he was drawing fouls like nobody’s business - expect more of it

That’s the next big step we need from him.  If he can get to the line 8 or so times per game he’ll be unstoppable.
Indeed. From April onward he was averaging 7 FTAs, and in the playoffs he averaged 10 FTAs. It was as if something clicked. Hopefully it continues - I have faith that it will. Pressuring teams with foul trouble and getting easy points will make life easier for him.

If he can solidly average 7 FTA's per game I'd be really, really happy. Only 5 players averaged 8 or more FTA's last season (Embiid, Giannis, Zion, Trae, and Jimmy). With the exception of Trae, those guys operate in the paint mostly. I don't know if we have the shooting for Tatum to do that.

Yeah, that's a good point - 7 is a nice middle-ground. Any more is probably reliant upon Nesmith and Pritchard stepping up

lol…he finally listened and went the LeBron/Giannis route I have been shouting for the last 2-3 years. He will now be beast…he will finish through contact. He will get his And ones and the Cs will finally have their superstar.
Yeah it's just such an obvious route for his frame.

Tatum has been gaining muscle since he came into the league.  There won't be a "jump" and their doesn't need to be.  He's been doing the right things all along.

He is putting in the work. He has really listened to what  needs to be done. He will settle that all NBA snub.

I know a lot of players post off-season workout pictures while doing weights. These are usually a PR stunt and optic illusion, but Tatum hasn’t been someone that was ever interested in these stunts…so perhaps this could be a Giannis like physical jump?

He recently posted that pic, as well.  He doesn’t look giant in it, so who knows?

Yeah there is a pretty big difference between this photo and his other recent photos.

He is def ripped in the ones with the yellow tank top.  I hope for a nice linear improvement of strength and bulk, not a flood.
Hmmm.

Be nice if he could approach Karl Malone size but that is wishful thinking.

That's a lot of muscle for a 19 year old, but you can't tell from the pictures how many inches he grew this summer. Safe to say he's 7'1 now.

He's taller than the basket in the background for sure.

Intense weight lifting indicates his commitment to get stronger to the hoop, draw more fouls, etc. Love it.

He is 17 now and his middle name is Benjamin.

All I know is this photographer is gonna win some awards.  Tatum is definitely getting after it but you can't get a better angle that makes Tatum look like the Rock's little brother. LOL.
