Know who would look good leading this team next year?

Tom Brady.

Just saying.

Feel like Bill is building this defence to meet Brady at the pointy end of the season

Have to admit that I was disinterested in NFL last year...covid season a mess, lots of players i didnt know and I'm not a fan of Newton. So the Pats in particular were uninspiring to say the least.
But this free agency for the Pats has me pretty psyched! Especially if we draft a QB that can add hope for the future. Still have no idea who half the players are....but I like the direction and the excitement that has been created.

Is there a team he wouldnt look good on?
He woulda retired if he had to play on last years team, woulda gotten beaten to a pulp.

Are you referring to the Pats playing Tampa Bay in the regular season? Even with all these moves, I’m not sure NE is good enough to make the playoffs with Cam or a Rookie starting at QB.

They were 7-9 with a pitiful roster and Cam was terrible. 3 games better and they are in the playoffs.

Given that every aspect of a 7-9 team will be better I see them making it

Sadly, someone probably will. Hope it’s not the Krafts.

It’s a given that Cam will be better this year? He has some weapons now, but his accuracy is still a major concern. Wouldn’t be surprised at all If Baltimore, Cleveland, Miami, Pittsburgh, or Tennessee finished with a better record than NE. I Think It’s a given that Kansas City and Buffalo will. I don’t see the Pats doing any better than 10-6 with Cam. Will probably be 9-7.

I would say it is certainly a given, assuming he doesn't contract COVID again. He has two legit tight ends to throw to, which are his favourite options, and we also have a legitimate deep threat in Agholor. We also have an emerging Meyers, two crafty WRs in Edelman and Bourke, and a solid run game

Cam was horrible last year, but he was essentially playing with a group of receivers across the board that were worse than the NCAA's University of Alabama had playing last year.

With weapons, like actual talented weapons, I can see Cam giving the team a typical Cam season of 60% completion, 20 TDs, 12 INTs, run for a bunch of yards and some TDs.

If Cam can do that, the Pats are in the playoffs.

But I am not counting on that. Kinda hoping whoever they take in the draft in the first round is quarterbacking the team before season's end. Oh, I mean in a good way not like Cam getting hurt.

That's actually crazy, because it's definitely true.

I still hope we trade up for Lance or Fields, unless we can somehow snag Wilson (unsure about Watson given the whole lawsuit thing), but Cam will be better

If we move up I wonder if Gilmore is going out in that trade?
