Recap: ** Firstly, the last day of the NBA Regular Season is Thursday, April 26, which makes this Saturday, April 7, the last day any new people can start playing and still qualify (by averages) for the PAPOUG Playoffs. If you know anyone who would like to play in the post-season, please let them know ... I'm going to PM everyone who has played this year, but not the requisite 20 games, and give them a chance to qualify. ** ** Secondly, we have decided to tweak the rules a little bit to allow for late-day picks, meaning you only have to make your pick before the start time of the game your picking from, and not the first game of the day. This will allow people who are working late or miss the early deadline (for any reason) a chance to still play that day ... let us know how you feel about this, and we can kick it around a bit if necessary. Celtics loss tonight ... these are the ones that really get to me, when we command the first half and then come out in the third quarter like a different team, walking the ball up, pounding it until there's only seven seconds left, not playing defense like we can, and letting our opponent play at
their pace ... I'm glad Doc was upset with them, and I hope he gave them a good ripping afterward. There's no way the
Bulls should beat us without
Rose, and we gave last night's game away, too, with some very unintelligent plays down the stretch.
OK, venting over for today, (although the Sox did basically the same thing tonight), as one of my "pet picks" paid off again, thankfully.
