Tatum might be taking another leap.

He’s pretty close to “definitely best player on the court” most games. Elite.

His ceiling could be Kevin Durant.

Tatum has crossed the line. Become the guy you give the ball to to get a must bucket. Man it is sweet to see what he has become. Will be a huge asset in playoffs.

Kemba showed guts just to be out there but you could tell he was not healthy. Knee slowed him down. Had trouble getting by guys.

Romeo. Wow. This pick is really starting to look good. I am shocked by his defense, moves his feet so well, gets in great position.  Not afraid to take big shots. Poise. Brad is starting to get excited. I retract all of the prior trade proposals that included him. You should too!!

He needs to pass a bit more. It would make score a bit more easy for him. He had a couple stretches were they picked his pocket knowing they didn’t have to worry about him passing.

Tatum has edged past Kemba to be our leading scorer now.

Romeo is so long and has such quick feet that even when his man gets by him he can and does recover. He's quiet and composed too.

To be fair he's been better at this area for these past few games.

At first I didn't really believe it, but now I'm also beginning to think this really is a form of load management. Some guys might truly be hurt, but it seems like they're just swapping guys every few days and "taking turns" on who misses/rests lol

I think it's genuine niggling injuries that they're just using as an excuse to sit players. Here's Brad on Gordon being out.

https://twitter.com/ChrisForsberg_/status/1225840750644080640

If these were playoff games I'm sure some of them would be playing. Or, if it was someone other than Atlanta. Or maybe they want to take a good look at someone like Romeo in a full game environment where he's not just standing in a corner or chasing someone defensively.

EDIT: I'm not sure why some of my Twitter links are working and some aren't  :-[ Basically it said "Brad Stevens on Gordon Hayward sitting out: "Just a number of nagging things. He’s the one guy that, since Christmas Day, has played in every game. Everybody else has gotten an organic rest because of the injuries. … He’s probably been due the last couple of games to miss one.""

And after watching it on DVR I liked what I saw with Romeo. I know Atlanta were shorthanded and bad, but he looked like he belonged.

Great win.  Never take a short-handed W for granted.

Romeo proved he belongs tonight.  Loved the way he played at both ends.

He can be a potential Hayward replacement if Hayward opts out in the summer.

Don't think he's quite at Hayward's level of playmaking and vision yet but he's definitely an NBA player. He has that same unhurried style Gordon has. Apparently Gordon has taken him under his wing, them both being from Indiana. Here's what Gordon said before Romeo's start against Orlando.

Quote
It was Hayward, his fellow Indiana native, who pulled Langford aside and gave him some extra confidence to play his game.

“Gordon gave me some words of encouragement, just told me to just go out there and just play,” Langford said. “He knows I’m a good player, just make plays and don’t be passive. Just be aggressive with everything you do.”

Said Hayward, “I think he’s going to be a really good player in this league. I think that he came out and was a little passive. I told him that there in the second half. And then he made some good drives, finished strong. I think for him to be as young as he is, I think he’s ahead of the curve, there’s no doubt about that.”

Stevens almost gave this one away, closing with G Williams whom  seem over matched and snakebit this game in the final few minutes.

Win by 5 points against the 14-39 Hawks at the TD Garden?

Pleaseeeee step it up!!
Considering how injured we are, including minute limitations for Kemba, I don't think there's much to complain about. A win is a win when there's this many injuries
Being forced to play a lineup of Porirer, Semi, Romeo, Wannamaker and Waters and still winning is pretty miraculous.

I think it was tough for JT without Jaylen or Gordon on the wings to take the defensive pressure off.

This game is a heck of a win and battle given the overall situation. Atlanta went down kicking and screaming . I enjoyed this game alot for the effort on both sides.

Is not Tacko better than Poirier??
Actually, no. But that doesn't change the fact that neither is really an NBA level talent right now. Maybe in a year or two both will develop into NBA level players.
