Paul Pierce has made/assisted on the most game-winning buzzer-beaters in NBA history.

• Paul Pierce - 12 (7 made/5 assisted)

• Michael Jordan - 10 (9/1)

• Kobe Bryant - 8 (8/0)

• Vince Carter - 8 (5/3)

• LeBron James - 8 (7/1)

• Joe Johnson - 8 (8/0)

I’m shocked no one has commented on the fact that Pierce is statically the greatest clutch player in modern NBA history.

Especially considering the irony that ‘Game of Zones’ comically anointed Pierce ‘The G.O.A.T’.

Perhaps this specific statistic is common knowledge?

The stat does not make him the greatest clutch player because it does not include the number of opportunities he had for buzzer beaters.

I don't think that makes him the greatest. It does not take into account efficiency, and seems biased toward modern players
