Wonder if Danny could move up from 14 to 5 by taking a bad contract from the Cavs

JR Smith?
Smith's not a bad contract.  Its only ~3M guaranteed.  Its under the old CBA so it actually is 15.6M for trade purposes.

Tristan Thompson, then?

Saves them $19 million, and we get a Center. Two birds, one stone.

Actually, hell yeah.
You aren’t moving from 14 to 5 for eating an expiring contract

Yeah, I was thinking of Clarkson or Thompson, but they're both expiring deals, unfortuanately.

Nance is their only long term deal under max value (i.e. not Love) and he's a decent value for them.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

If we want #5, we're definitely moving the Memphis pick or Jaylen Brown. I could see #14 and MEM20 for #5 and a contract (although I'm not sure they're in a rush to move Thompson).

What about eating Kevin Love’s contract?  Lol JK if Ainge truly believed in Garland, and we weren’t expecting to be contenders until the J’s are in their mid 20’s that would be 1 gutsy move.

This is like the complete opposite of previous draft nights, as there’s little talk of C’s rumors. Maybe the end result (us actually doing something substantial) will be different, too!

Straight up? I feel like we should ask for something else. Yabu has unlimited potential.

I just don't think much is going to happen for us tonight.  That is why I was all in with getting Adams.
