This rumor says Utah might trade Boozer before he can opt out of his contract next year. There is speculation that he would go to Miami if he opts out after next year because he has a home there. There has also been some speculation that Miami is willing to trade the # 2 pick, so what do you think about this trade for Miami and Utah

Mia sends: #2 pick, Blount, (get him off the books) and Haslem

Utah sends: Carlos Boozer and 1st round pick(#23)

Miami teams up Wade, Marion and Boozer which would be one of the best 2-4 in the league.

Utah gets beasly who I think is going to be a more explosive scorer then boozer to team up with Deron Williams and they also get a starting PF in Haslem who has championship experience

Would this be a good trade?

No, because Utah has Williams and Chicago is going to take Beasley

Utah wouldn't do that deal in Miami's wildest dreams.

If they could get Beasley that would be a fine trade. Well actually subtract Haslem for Cook. Utah don't want that much payroll flogging up the ship. That's 9mil against 11.5mil. Close. Does Beasley's 4mil contract count?

It won't happen but it'd be an interesting deal. Of course if Chicago takes Beasley it's off the table.

  • You know my methods, Watson.
utah would be stupid to move boozer...this trade doesn't make any sense on their behalf.

Paul, Ray, and KG are the best 2-4 in the league

This trade doesn't help them get over LA.

Considering the egg Boozer laid in the playoffs, why not make a move?  The roster as it stands isn't going to get it done.  Haslem can give them some of the inside toughness they need, and Beasley and Deron would make a great young core.

Boozer lives in Coral Gables, about ten minutes for American Airlines Arena, and has a toddler son who is stricken with Sickle Cell Anemia.  I'm guessing that living in Miami year round would be attractive to him and his family.  If he's opting out anyways, why wouldn't Utah make a move now?
