  • Everybody knows what's best for you
We have a lot of educators. Interesting.

I worked for several years in standardized testing/educational assessment. I have since moved back to the classroom...As interesting as it was working in the corporate side of things, working with students is much more rewarding (and a little frustrating, too :0)

You know...that depends on your definition of intelligence though.
I'm not stupid, but I'll admit I'm a bit naive, and above all stubborn.
Does that count?

I restore and digitize old films.

I've always wanted to run a soundstage and production company, but I'm too old to get started now. Too busy raising kids to invest the necessary energy for my own business.

Sorry I forgot how young you were.

Just paraphrasing a very famous quote by Greek philosopher Socrates:

“I know that I am intelligent, because I know that I know nothing.”

I'm familiar with the quote, it just didn't hit me at the time.
My apologies.

You didn't?  I thought that was common knowledge.

Spent all of last weekend learning to administer the Woodcock Johnson test (yeh, that name is Beavis & Butthead's dream come true)

I'm 13 months into a 2 year Masters program for K-8 Moderate Special Needs.  I recently closed up shop for a record store biz that I ran for 14 years.  I've been substitute teaching, and looking for work as an aide.

Loving what I'm doing though.
Yup

Master Po has forgotten more about being interesting than we mere mortals can comprehend.

Haha well then you are one smart kid. I'm 26, I've taken college classes that focused specifically on Socrates, and I've read that quote and I would never...EVER..have made that connection.

But you know what they say...you're only as young as your Socrates.
