After 4 games last year the Celtics were 2-2. They are 2-2 after 4 games this year. The amount of anger and frustration pouring out about this team after just 4 games is unreal. The season is just starting. This team is loaded with great players. They will still win between 55-60 games.

Relax people. This team is going to be great. It's just a slow start.

A lot of people are going to look silly in a couple weeks after the Cs rip off like 10 in a row.

to be fair, I think it's a lot of frustration from thinking this team would build on how they were playing at the end of last season, not regress to worse than right after Hayward was injured.

there's too much talent on this team for them to not be at least a very good team.  expectations are/were that they'd be dominant this season.  hard to argue that they couldn't have played better so far regardless of whether initial expectations were higher than they should have been.

Could be worse. Could be Lakers fans watching Lebron lead the Lakers to a lottery pick.

About Kyrie ...make an important shot when it counts, garbage time shots when your down 9-11 and in desperation are meaningless. What about his supposed great handles? Get to the basket for a layup. What the heck kind of a shot was designed for the end of the game. A turnaround defended three? That play design I would blame on the coach because it was a terrible shot.
Were you not watching when he took over during the latter stages of the game and got us back into it?

As much as I am criticized for hating Irving, you Gouk, are in love with him, no matter what he does. You love him.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

That's all well and good and I hope you are right - but how do you explain it ? The first 12 are all returning players, they know the system, they know each other. What ?

Some say Hayward and Irving are stale from injury - So is Leonard up in Toronto ......... and he doesn't even want to be there. The Raptors have two brand new players and are gelling like the 1986 Celtics at mid-season.

Only thing I can see is a bunch of players who listened to their hype during the off-season and have forgotten what it takes to be successful and are not hungry and willing to grind right now. I also worry that Brad Boy isn't strong enough to be tough on his players.

Maybe. But there's a reason his response to this didn't make sense, and it's not because I was wrong :)

After a night's rest I have regained perspective. It was a dismal performance against a crap team that played well but we still had a chance to tie it at the end. But it's only 4 games, 78 more to go. There'll be worse lows than this over the season, not to mention some highs. Defensively they held Orlando to 93 points, though they need to fix their switching as they gave up a lot of open 3s that the Magic just missed. Offensively they need to have better shot selection and not settle for standstill contested 3s. Take it to the rim more, when they did that in the 2nd half they looked a lot better.

They'll figure it out (maybe a bit longer than we all thought, but this isn't NBA2k where your team starts playing excellently from game 1).
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D
