At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I would prefer Tatum, Jrue and Pritchard to rest. I may be in the minority but I don?t care at all about the Olympics - I?m all about the NBA.

Very interesting to see Nigel Hayes-Davis (just Nigel Hayes when he was in the NBA) get an invite to the Select Team.  I wonder how much he makes with Fenerbache and what his buyout is.  He had a great season with them, including putting up 50 in a game.

The Olympics are only 2 weeks long and end early August. They also aren?t going to be playing a ton of minutes like they did in the playoffs. There will be plenty of time to rest before the season starts in October.

The Timberwolves' season may have ended on a low note, but Anthony Edwards' confidence is still set on high.

The 22-year-old superstar was asked Sunday about his role with Team USA at the Paris Games, where he'll play alongside LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant.

"I'm still the No. 1 option," Edwards said. "Y'all might look at it differently, but I don't."

Edwards, who led the Timberwolves to the Western Conference finals before losing 4-1 to the Mavericks, has not been shy about promoting his strengths throughout his four years of professional play, but has delivered on his words with strong performances, averaging 25.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.1 assists last season.

He is also the youngest on Team USA, but that is not stopping him from believing he will play an active role when the games begin July 26.

"I just go out there and be myself. ... Shoot my shots, play defense. They've got to fit in to play around me. That's how I feel," Edwards said.

Interesting.  That was reported as a possibility weeks ago, but then Kawhi said he was feeling good and was happy to be there.

I love White and he'll be a seamless fit, but I think that JB deserves the spot more.

Jaylen and Derrick White were both on the finalist list.  I don?t know if Jaylen at this point has told Team USA he wouldn?t be a late add.

It would not surprise me if Jaylen would have accepted had he been on the initial roster, but at this point just has other stuff he's planned for the summer.

I believe it was recently posted that he's on a pilgrimage to Mecca.

Kind of cool that the team has three Celtics regardless. Just please, for love of god, get through without injuries. We don't need a Paul George situation.

Roy already mentioned it but from a fit standpoint, Derrick is ideal.  I'm not sure Team USA needed more scorers at this point.  Perimeter defense is at a premium and Derrick certainly helps to fill that need.  He just blends really well into that roster.

Honestly I think they picked him becasue they have 11 other guys who want to play and Derick has a lot of practice at not being a top option on a really good team. He probably won't play all that much.
