Wanted :

More alive than dead

7 ? center who can play 25-30 min. per game

And preferably has played basketball before

I saw a tweet saying the Utah may deal Walker Kessler this summer. Strong defender, strong rebounder. Physical presence in the paint. He'd be a nice get. A good replacement for Horford.

Nick Richards from the Hornets is the other young big that may be available.

I had wanted him at the deadline too last season
I like Richards too. Good size.

I'd give up a couple of 1st for Kessler. Not sure why Utah would move him though
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Outside of the box and unlikely, but how about this:

Grizzles receive Karl Anthony-Towns
Wolves receive Desmond Bane and Brandon Clarke

Grizzles have size and two stretch big men to open the court for Morant, Smart, and their young wings.

Wolves add a really good perimeter player next to Edwards to help with the scoring load, while also getting a rotation big man.

Atlanta trades Trae Young to Minnesota for Karl-Anthony Towns, 2024 1st round pick and a 2029 1st round unprotected.

The Wolves need another scoring option and ideally a starting PG since Conley is 37 years old. You pair Edwards with Trae Young and have an elite, dynamic backcourt. Young gives them another legit scorer and Edwards doesn't have to carry the load. Still have Gobert, NAW, Naz Reid, McDaniels and Anderson among others. ATL meanwhile accumulates more picks and balances out their roster a little more assuming they make another trade like Capela going elsewhere and maybe giving Murray a bigger role while they add the #1 pick to their roster too (lets be real ATL is mostly rebuilding anyways and is stuck in mediocrity right now).

Why is Atlanta getting two firsts in this deal?

I see it as Young being 3 years younger than KAT and being a better player than him, and also KAT still has the massive 4-year contract extension coming up. I sort of see it as ATL doing MIN a slight favor as well by taking it on in order to get the two first rounders.

But you may be right, it might only take one first rounder.

I know I'm not high profile around here, but it's weird that people keep skipping over my posts to respond to somebody who literally asked/said exactly same thing as me a few posts after mine. I don't really care, but this has happened a few times lately lol

In this case it was because I?d just gotten off a delayed red-eye flight.  I?m pleased I said something sensible enough in my exhaustion that at least someone shared the thought!

Oh my bad. Sometimes I don't fully scroll up and just see/reply to whoever the most recent comment was especially when I'm just here from my phone. It's nothing against you.  :)

I also didn't see the few comments under yours either, just the most recent one which I had replied to and the Nick Richards one.

I saw a rumour there that Houston might trade the #3 pick for Marcus Smart. I presume Houston would get something else in addition to Smart to make it worth their while. The Rockets would rather have a win-now vet than another raw young guy.

Great opportunity for the Grizzlies if true. I never liked Smart in that backcourt next to Morant.

GSW trade CP3 & Kuminga
MIA trade Jimmy Butler

Golden State

G: Steph, G Payton II
G: Podz, Klay
F: J Butler, Moody
F: Draymond, Wiggins
C: Looney,

They don't really need Klay here do they? Might be better off letting him walk. Play Moody as backup SG. He is good enough. Wiggins can be the 6th man backing up both forward slots. Add another center for depth behind Looney.

A strong small ball lineup with Draymond at center, Jimmy and Wiggins at forward, Steph and your choice of a the final guard - Gary Payton II for defense, Podz for offense, Moody for two-way and backcourt size.

I actually like this team better without Klay.

Miami

They surely waive CP3 so only Kuminga would join their roster.

G: Rozier
G: Herro, D Robinson
F: C Martin, Highsmith
F: Kuminga, Jovic
C: Bam

Kuminga gives them a young forward to pair with Herro & Bam. A player with two way talent. Possible star talent. Good return for an aging Jimmy Butler.

What stars will get moved? I don?t see really any except one of Hawks players, either Murray or Trae?DeRozen of Chicago is a possibility..Towns isnt going anywhere as Minnesota got a good thing going..
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

I have always loved the idea of say #4, (or #8) one of the Spurs wings and maybe additional picks for Garland. He would be an awesome guard to play off of Wemby for years.

I honestly can't tell how GM's are valuing picks in this draft. It seems their current value is pretty poor.

Miami is in a world of hurt cap wise if they resign Martin. That is before having to clean up the Butler mess.

And if the Heat stay they same, they still have a roster that will not win anything.
