Just watched the game on league pass. Looks like we got the bad Smart tonight. He almost cost us this game too with that stupid foul at the half and then a lot of bad decisions down the stretch. He didn’t play like an all-defensive 1st teamer either. He played... average on defense.

Thank goodness for Tatum and thank goodness that P Rabbit is such a gamer. Great hustle and instincts to follow that shot. It reminded me of Smart, ironically, who also hit a game winner after he followed IT’s miss (vs the Raps I think?)

Tatum had a great game overall...thank god he's a Celtic.

But I got mad at him again at the end of the game for carelessness....and for yelling at the ref on the way back on defense, which absolutely made him late to cover Robinson, whom he then fouled for the 4 point play.

I understand when the talent is so high there is an urge to play cool an loosey goosey...but it almost never works against NBA level defense in crunch time....especially a team like the Heat.

I don't know if the same thing p---ed of Smart, but Smart was angry when he made that drive that Adebayo blocked out of bounds..(probably a foul).  But Smart has to be careful about getting into rescue mode...as in, we are stinking up the joint with poor decisions so I will now rescue us.
I mean he isn't that bad of a "rescue" option - he's a really good passer and a passable volume shooter with the ability to draw fouls when he gets to the rim. He definitely throws up a stinker every now and then (like this game), but he he bails us out more often than not with his two-way play.

The NBA admits the refs blew FOUR calls in the L2M of Celts/Heat 1. Robinson fouled Grant w/ 56 sec left 2. Butler fouled Tatum w/ 50 sec left 3. Tatum did NOT foul Robinson shooting a 3 4. Robinson DID foul Smart w/ 1.8 seconds I mean it's laughable at this point

VINDICATION!!!

Seriously, though. I hope those refs are held accountable for swinging a contest so wildly in one team's favor. It violates the integrity of the game, even if it was more incompetence than conspiracy.

You could see that all in real time and there were a lot more ba d calls against the Celtics through the game. When was the last time, if there was one, when we got some calls at the end of a game that favored us?

Yeah, I mean, we had the game won, up 10 with about a minute to go and we were rolling. Suddenly the Heat got every single call and got away with murder. That's why Smart was irate, yelling at the refs even after Pritchard made that shot.

That’s a horrid one way string of calls there.

Point shaving?

Bad look for the NBA.

I was calling for CBS to challenge that 4 point play. It looked bogus on the replay. Glad to see I was right!

The problem is refs are never going to call these type of fouls in a close game. Duncan Robinson flopping like a fish is a dirty move. He learnt from the best

The L2M can report the findings all it wants. If they play the game again, exactly the same way. Refs still wont call the fouls

This is why the nba has a flawed officiating system. Only 2nd to soccer

Have always wondered what tacko would look like playing with the starters.  In Maine he totally dominated the game playing with a proportionally quality lineup where he could stick to his strengths.

The c's are alternating between live ball turnovers an shots that don't even hit the rim.
