I'd do that trade in a heartbeat... it even leaves a roster spot open for a FA. Toronto... not so much and with TA's injury history, nope.

Become Legendary.

Lovely thought.

Won't happen. It would require Danny to admit he's wrong.

Ainge still doesn't want Posey for 4 years.

It would require Danny to do what he never wanted to do in the first place. Plus, what has happened between now and the time that Danny made his decision that shows that Danny was wrong? Additionally, what reason do you have to suspect that Danny would let his ego get in the way of doing his job properly? He has made a lot of moves over the years that weren't too popular with the media and fans at the time.

I'm not sure about those statements. If Ainge didn't sign Posey for budgetary reasons, as claimed, sending out Scal's salary (and TA's) would upset Posey's 4th year, no?

Since both TA and Scali would be off the books by then, yes.  He was defenitly looking got flexibility room.

Can you really look at this mess of a bench and honestly say you don't have questions about Danny's ego? There are few other explanations besides "I know something you don't know" for any rational GM thinking that O'Blount could replace PJ and Tony Allen Posey, among other things.

 ;D

He wouldn't make a move for Posey if he could.
