detroit sends richard hamilton and jason maxiell  to phoenix
celtics send tony allen or house to phoenix

phoenix sends amare to detroit and matt barns to the c's

detroit gets a young topline big with out giving up any of their expiring contracts. iverson and stukey can work it out/duke it out in the back court till the summer when j. dumars has a chance to rework the roster he made a mess of.

phoenix gets rid of the front court log jam, lands a 2 who will thrive next to pass first guards like nash. they also get a young energetic big who will not complain about playing second fiddle to shaq.

to make the #'s work they send out matt barns and take back either a sharp shooter or high energy defender from the c's

we get a long wing of the bench who can defend and bring some consistency to the roller-coaster otherwise known as the c's bench.

not likely but hey, none of our trade idea's are...

  • Basketball is like chess, only without the dice
Matt Barnes can't defend and the only thing he does consistently is being mediocre.

Consistently mediocre is better than inconsistently bad.  That would make him our 6th man.
God bless and good night!

At this point I have lost countless hours of productivity at work do to the ESPN Trade Machine, luckily I work for a Hedge Fund and the world is ending so I have time.

Here is the 3 team deal that I think everyone would consider.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=1727~3417~2754~454~1705~1051&teams=27~21~21~21~22~22&te=&cash=

Phoneix trades Amare
Phoneix gets Jared Bayless, Channing Frye, Raef Lafrentz and Portlands #1

Washington trades Caron Butler, Mike James
Washington gets Amare

Portland Trades Raef, Jared Bayless, Channing Frye and #1 pick.
Portland gets Caron Butler and Mike James

It is a solid trade for everyone involved.  Phoneix gets young point guard to work under Nash, expiring contracts and pick.  Washington can start Habachi,Young,Stevenson,Jamison and Amare.  Portland gets Caron Butler and Mike James.

Any one else have thoughts, I think I broke the espn trade machine.

I dont think Portland is happy with this. to them, Bayless and a number 1 is probably more valuable then Butler. Raef's contract is also probably pretty valuable to them

How much better is Butler than Outlaw and Webster? This trade really doesn't fill much of a need for Portland, but I'd be somewhat tempted to do the deal.

This is either amusing or deeply disturbing, I can't decide which.

Here are three teams all looking to make a deal and this helps them all in what they are looknig for right now.

New Jersey gets Amare and Rudy Fernandez
New Jersey gets young Superstar for move to NYC and exciting wing, can play up-tempo fun style now.

Phoneix gets Raef Lafrentz, Jared Bayless, Ryan Anderson and Portlands #1pick
Phoneix gets PG of future and Ryan Anderson a solid big that can shoot 3 pt to spread floor for Shaq.

Portland gets Vince Carter and Gorin Dragic
Portland can play Vince at the SF, where he can become the second option and play an all-around game.

Any Thoughts
