Who would you pic,TEAM USA vs our own boy with his team from Turkey? I'm not from USA so I'm kinda biased. But hey Rondo's not around so why not cheer for one of ours.

Semih all the way.
I think the Ersan Ilyasova Vs. Kevin Durant matchup will decide the game. Don't underestimate Ersan's defense. If he is able to keep Durantula in check, Turkiye size will be too much to handle for the US.

Good Point Papa, but I'll still go with Team USA. Durantula is the Real Deal, so I want to see him win it and bring home the gold for the team and for USA.
It will be nice to see Semih play well, though.

You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Ilyasova on Durant will be very interesting to watch. If Durant has a tough game...I think we'll be in for a closer contest than people imagine.

"Kevin Durant vs. Ersan Ilyasova" KD is a The Machine
(sorry Sasha but KD is the one more deserving)
but Ersan is a workhorse, boy can he play. Wish we had him.

At any rate, it will be an interesting, fun game. It is always better when one of your own is involved. I want to see Erden play great, regardless of the outcome!

Defense will be the key to winning the Gold medal against the host nation Turkey. I'm hoping our guys can establish a lead early in the game and then try and control the flow of the game with their defense. We will have to rebound well and convert close-range shots as well as guard the perimeter since the FIBA 3pt line is different from the NBA's (I think it's the same distance as the WNBA though). I for one hope the Gold medal game is as entertaining as the semifinal match against Lithuania; I caught some of it at work and it looked as if we established a solid lead from the get-go and never looked back.

Their advantage is in the frontcourt, but when their shooters gets hot there could be trouble for TeamUSA.

I'll be rooting for Semih and the Turks tomorrow. I thought they looked a little sloppy today against Serbia, but I'm thrilled that our new third string center bailed them out at the end.
