Saturday night fever at "The Palace."

With or without the video of the dancing Geno fan, the Celtics will have to bring their best moves to the floor tonight, as they face the daunting Piston's crowd (233 straight sellouts) and a well balanced, playoff hardened, shark like team, that can smell the blood on the water.

Which Celtics team will show up? Will it be the timid; "please don't take my lunch money, sir" bunch that has been humiliated in less hostile environments in Atlanta and Cleveland, or the hard driving, tobacco spitting, snarly bunch that has closed out two game sevens with a rattle snake's venomous bite?

Which team, like the "Beatles,” will check out early, take the money and run, after a nice little 10 year career and which will be like the “Rolling Stones,” still strutting and prancing, as they lock into their 5th decade?

The coaches and players are talking about rotations, too many fouls called and making big shots in the clutch, but my own feeling is that this series, like most advanced  playoff rounds, will go to the team that will suffer the most to win it.

Suffer you say? What does suffering have to do with winning basketball games?

Well; any great achievements have to be bought and paid for with sweat and blood.

Remember the Red Sox in 2004, breaking that 89 year curse? How many post 2: 00 AM extra innings games were there? How cold was that rainy early morning  air at ground level Fenway Park as the Sox turned around an 0-3 start and won games 4 & 5?

Even the fans were walking zombies, from the mind numbing lack of sleep and the body numbing chill.

So whatever it takes, must be the price, for fans and players alike.

In that vein, the Celtics Stuff Live crew will be on hand, at whatever ungodly hour, to do our part; to suffer like the fools we are.

We hope you will join us.
