6-2 even though the team hasn't been nearly as good as I think they can be. Nice start to the season.

This is awful basketball by the Celtics win or lose can they do anything accept shoot a 3 or an off balanced  junper? Can they execute anything on offense besides shooting 3’s? I understand it’s a different game now and everyone shoots 3’s but my god 54 attempts??? They had Milwaukee down by 15 and continued to jack up 3’s while Milwaukee starting driving the paint. Just so boring to watch the Celtics jack up 3’ every possession create some [dang] offense.
If they hadn't been wide open and if we weren't winning this argument might hold. Our offence is designed to shoot threes

Which is why I'm starting to back up on my beating GS thinking.
Why? Houston was a healthy Chris Paul away from beating GSW, and that's how they play offensively too.

We're a much better defence than them too

Houston chucked themselves out of the series. The C's can easily do the same.
And they wouldn't have been able to win 3 games without their shooting. This argument can go in circles forever.

I'm not saying I like all the threes, but it's clearly our modus operandi

You take wins like that.  Milwaukee is an excellent team.  The end was sketchy when we lost our touch but we made enough plays to win.

The fact we're still getting wins against quality opponents while still having plenty of things to improve on is not a bad thing.

24 3s, only won by 4. Not a good statistic. I understand 3s are the chic thing right now but there needs to be a healthy balance. Cs barely get to the FT line. They need to be more aggressive attacking the paint.

Big board, Al!!!

Horford actually allowed Middleton to come around and get position on the baseline on that missed free throw - if the ball bounced the other way, we are tied. Baynes is the one that got us that rebound - he took his guy completely out and allowed Horford to grab the board.

Scal is right about needing to take it to the rim more. Can't expect to make 43% of our threes.

Agreed. As much as people talking about moral losses annoys me, I'd rather read about them than moral victories
I'm bitter.

A lot of our threes weren’t bad shots. The Bucks were practically giving us free shots. Just gotta knock them down. Would’ve loved to see us hit one more to tie the record. Kyrie and Hayward both had open looks down the stretch. As did Horford I think?

Giannis gets a lot of calls though huh?

No they went up 3-2 by slowing the game down and playing tough hard defense. Then they started chucking 3's again and it cost them. You don't beat GS by trying to outscore them. I just don't like the offense and honestly never have under CBS. Everyone is allowed to take bad shots without consequence.

True, but it’s also our eighth game when we’re reintegrating/integrating into our offense our two best players. We’ll certainly be a higher volume three point shooting team, but as better chemistry develops I think you’ll see more stuff at the basket.

Also, while clearly a lot of threes, the vast majority of the threes tonight were actually good, open shots coming off of inside-out playmaking. That’s different than continuously chucking threes while never getting into the paint.

Exactly - TP for the truth. Everybody gets caught up in a hot shooting night, but when those 3's cool off, we gotta score in the lane and rely on our defense.
