Pacers, far apart on extension talks with Sabonis, are listening to trade offers.

OK, just in time to revive the Brown for Sabonis swap ideas.

I say no thank you.

Stay away. Too pricey without the talent to justify it.

I wouldn't trade Brown for him.

Now, if they want to take Langford and a future 1st along with matching salaries, sure.

Sabonis for Romeo. I'd consider that. Indiana kid may have some attraction for Pacer fan base.  Salaries pretty close (3.5 mm vs. 3.5 mm).

Hey no fair, I just posted that idea.

I haven't watched him enough to feel confident in his game, but I've liked what I've seen.  Although, I'm not sure about his defense.

Langford and a non Memphis first sounds good to me, but we probably need to offer more than that.  We need a big and I don't feel too good about the guys we have.  He averaged 14.1 ppg, 9.3 rebs, and 2.9 assists last season.  Those assist numbers are quite good for a center.

I found this decent scouting report on his game from last December.

Whether or not they’d do it, affording new contracts for Brown AND Sabonis next year is probably beyond where the team would go with their payroll.  I wouldn’t do Brown for Sabonis, nor Brown for Sabonis plus something else unless it was a pretty valuable something else, but if Sabonis comes it probably needs to be Brown or maybe Smart.

Ignoring the obvious issue of matching salaries, Hayward is the guy I would dangle for Sabonis.

Ditto, but for the obvious issue.

I don’t like typing this, but brown for sabonis could make some sense. I would prefer Hayward for him and the pacers view themselves as contenders so they would do it if salaries worked

I’d trade Smart not Brown. With regret, but Jaylen is so versatile and seems like he can break out big this year.

I would not trade Smart, he's an elite defender on a good contract, and the team leader.

I could see Hayward being traded for Sabonis or another big man though, or Langford and a pick.
