Let's hope Brand compounds all his mistakes by hiring Ty Lue

This feels like a lateral move, at best. What exactly does Ty Lue offer that Brett Brown didn't? Lue's strength were keeping the stars happy, and getting the heck out of the way for Lebron and Kyrie. That type of coaching isn't gonna work on this square-in-round-hole Sixers team. They need someone who can think outside of the box and get creative with lineups.

Lue was also not afraid to call Lebron if he did something wrong.  I think that is why he was respected, including by Lebron.

I just don't know if ANY coach can fix Sixer problems, unless one of Embiid or Simmons is dealt. I'd move Embiid.  His value to the team is less than his market value I bet.

They need less of a player’s atmosphere, not more.

Watched Charles Barkley on an interview, and though I seldom agree with him, I think he was spot on regarding this: that the Sixers need a disciplinarian that will come in and tell Simmons and Embiid to act like professionals and do the following:

Embiid, come into camp 25-30 pounds less, in the best shape of your life and Simmons, come into camp having worked on your shot all off-season and start shooting from the outside on a regular basis. Do that, and I will put you both into positions to win it all.

Gotta agree with Chuck on that one. And given Ty Lue isn't that type of guy or coach, I wouldn't hire him if I were Philly.
