The Oklahoma City Thunder move back to Seattle and become the Seattle Supersonics.
Done

I was going to change to the Syracuse Nationals, but changed my mind, as '76 was also my graduation year, (prep school) ... seems fitting, plus there's the Dr. J thing, and the rivalry, (back then), with the Celtics. To graduate the year of the Bicentennial was pretty cool, at least we thought so back then ... the "Spirit of '76", etc., and all. :)

You're old. ;D

Yup. But it's all a state of mind ... if you met me, you'd think I was 30, and my maturity level is about 17. ;)

The 2011 CB Historical Draft is now open.

Please remember in future rounds to state which round and pick is being taken.

Such as 3rd pick in the 3rd round or pick 5.6 or something like that.

I'm going to be very interested in whether teams pick based upon a player's position early, or whether they instead just take the best player available.

Me, I'd go BPA.  Even though centers and point guards are probably the most desired positions, I think there will be all-time great centers and point guards available in the third round.  If there was a great SG / SF available early, I'd take him, I think.

Of course, it's going to be very hard to make a "bad" pick in this draft, at least through the first few rounds.

This was a very difficult decision, as I put another player on the same level with my pick, and the other guy was a Celtic, (I'm choosing first, so I won't say who the other guy is). I also feel that defense is the number one priority on any team, and the other guy was the best in that respect by far, IMHO. However, I just could not bring myself to go that way, and I had to come down on the side of my pick, for what I feel are obvious reasons. Anyway, without further ado ...

With the very first pick in the 2011 CB All-Time NBA Historical Draft, the Philadelphia Seventy-Sixers pick 6'6", 215lb Guard from the University of North Carolina, and the greatest all-around basketball player of all-time ...

Michael Jordan

(goodbye, Mr. Defense ... maybe next time)

Time has expired on Philadelphia and Portland is now up.

I will delay Portland's pick a minutes or four as I think Redz would want to give Bahku a chance

Yes you did. I kept checking and started to type up the warning. You must have posted just after my last check.

Good for Redz.  He is in the early lead on my ballot. ;)

The draft board is on page one of this thread and you have until the time posted next to your team to have your pick in by or be passed over and the next team can pick. After your time has passed you can pick anytime you want and your pick will stand but you can not select anyone that has been selected in the meantime.

Yeah, it is woo-hoo to me. I'll take this as a show of support. Congrats to Redz on the early lead. ;)
