Interesting. Don't these results buck the trends established in the previous round of voting? I thought the Rockets were a landslide winner of the SW.

Does this mean we can assume the rest of the playoff seedings can be doled out according to these numbers? Or do we do another round of votes for non-divisional winners? I think strength of schedule somehow probably should factor in. Otherwise:

1st: Blazers Average position: 1.41
2nd: Warriors Average position: 2.03
3rd/4th: Clippers Average Position: 2.08
4th/3rd: Mavericks Average Position: 2.13
5th: Rockets Average Position: 2.76
6th: Utah Average Position: 2.84
7th: Spurs Average Position: 2.89
8th: Minnesota Average Position: 2.95

9th: Memphis Average Position: 3.0
10th: Suns Average Position: 3.16
11th: Denver Average Position: 3.29
12th: Lakers Average Position: 3.61
13th: Kings Average Positin: 4.13
14th: Hornets Average Position: 4.21
15th: Oklahoma City Pickles Average Position: 4.5

I demand a recount on the Pacific. I suspect a hanging chad like scandel. That or a bias against the only team run by a Canadian.  ;D ;D

Not that it makes a huge difference in my case, but just for sake of example wouldn't a 4.5 in a stronger division carry more weight than a similar score in a weaker division?

...too complicated to calculate all that in for Conference standings I suppose

Yup

That's exactly what I was getting at. It may be too difficult to factor that into seedings though.

according to my understanding, there will be another round of polls to decide which non conference winners will be playoff teams. Lets wait til the eastern conference is done.

Lakers 12th?

I know we're built for the future, but 12th?

How do we decide on teams built to win over a long period? Have I missed something or are we ignoring that now? Thanks.

If you had only followed this draft value chart, you would have been ranked higher.
