to be honest though, I do think Rondo will be part of the next wave, whenever the older guys start to go away, so he may the new big 1... =)

I agree.  Rondo definately has the smallest question mark.

You have to figure though, between Perk, Baby, Powe, Pruitt, Giddens, and Walker... there's a solid chance that one of them pans out into an allstar caliber player.  Definately no garantees, but I like our odds of at least having a big TWO in place.  Also, it doesn't hurt to have these guys playing under the wings of three potential HOF'ers.  At the very least, Danny may have found some very nice chips to work with.

"That's the worst idea I've ever heard in my life, Tom."

Could be the new big 3, who knows. Giddens and Walker could be special players.

i thought we went over the fact that we should not get too excited over potential... proven vets win championships.

Championships are one by veterans but it is extremely rare that you can build a team entirely of trades and veterans (like we did this year). We now have a young player at every position that we can bring along slowly while the Big 3 is still around. If one of them doesn't pan out we can replace him with another young player before he is needed to come in and contribute.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Don't worry, they've already cloned the big 3 and added two scrubs, within 10 years or so, we'll be right back where we left off:
