Let's say Boston loses Kyrie and doesn't trade for Davis

Does anyone think Ainge makes three first round picks in an average draft?

It's a below-average draft. Unless there are decent values among the draftable foreign players to stash away, then 3 picks seem unlikely.

Lakers package 4th pick and Ball to Memphis for 2nd pick. Then package 2nd pick with Kuzma and Ingram to Pels for Davis. Griffin would love to build core around Zion and Ja Morant.
Why on earth with Memphis do that?? Ja Morant is so much a better prospect than Ball and whoever is at 4
Ball had the same hype 2 years ago.

Boston has to get a commitment for Kyrie before the draft if they want to get Davis.

If that happens...offer Tatum, five number ones (3 this year, Memphis and Boston next year), Williams and whoever else.

Is there a way to make the NBA draft lottery less transparent?

Put up a shade or window screen. Then it's sort of opaque.

Btw Go Warriors!!! Them winning another chip increases the chances that KD stays right? How do you leave a three peat?

i think all the FO turmoil around the league has to influence KD easily swayed mind .

I believe quiet Kawhi is closer to remaing in Toronto than ever.

If per chance Kawhi stays .....would KD rather go to a much better Clippers team with Doc ...than a hot mess of Knicks ......i think so ....he still gets to stay CA.....be best player ...have FO and coach and good team ready to go.

Knicks could be biggest loser ....no KD , no Zion , no Kyrie ....and they gave away Zinger .....wow .......talk about self destruction .

i got to think KD and Kyrie s interest in being knicks took a huge hit . Kawhi could nuke knicks by staying in Toronto

Wow, the Suns and the Cavs got screwed really hard. Absolutely miserable seasons, and they only get the 5th and 6th pick.

Yeah it's cool that Knicks Suns Cavs Bulls (1-4) trotted out some G League lineups and ended up 3-5-6-7

I am just really interested in what Danny does if he does not trade for AD...all these picks that are very bland.

Yes, which is why he has to package them in a trade or trade them for future pix

Ball's hype was LA nonsense though. Anyone could see that his jump-shot was completely broken, and he way less athletic than Morant is. Plus, Morant doesn't have a headache attached to him at all times
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)

Morants hype is completely based  on his game. Lonzos hype was based on what crazy stuff his dad was saying

Lakers and Knicks packages will be better than Boston. Sucks that is the truth.

Davis to me stays...sending Boston to the drawing board.

Where the F are you getting this from? NOLA denied Lakers package already, and it's only got worse since then with Ingram's health issues. Adding more quantity to that is not going to make up for the lack of quality that they already have, as Tatum >> White/Hunter/Hayes/Reddish.

As for NYK, again, they don't have the quality of prospects that we do, as Tatum > Morant/Barrett. They also hardly have anything of quality to trade beyond that pick, whether that's picks or prospects with Brown being much better than anything else they have. NYK's only chance was to get the first pick, and that's a no-go now, so they're not realistically a suitor anymore.

The top players ultimately are businesses unto themselves.

Davis blew it up last season in New Orleans. He's going to play for a winner.

Zion Williamson is the top college player this year. He needs three years, just like any rookie.

Davis exits the rebuild, they had their chance.

I hope he comes here, but, adding a 19 year old rookie, he actually doesn't turn 19 until July, doesn't change anything for Davis' camp.

Ainge will get his shot.

Look out for the Knicks though, they've got Kadeem Allen and the #3 for Anthony Davis.

Let’s hope he’s better than Westbrook, most overrated player last 10 years.

This is the big issue to me...the timing. They have to somehow get some idea from Kyrie before the draft and who knows if Kyrie is willing to give it at that time. Though if they don't get a commitment by then it's safe to treat it as a no I would imagine.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

  • GOT IT!!!
So it looks like the same teams will be in the mix for AD:

C's
Lakers
Knicks
Clippers

Anyone else you think could see taking a chance on AD?
