He has been playing basketball for less then 7 years. First started at 16...He is super smart and committed to working hard and getting better. I say yes, there is room for this kid and his unlimited potential. Unless of course we would rather keep dead weight with no potential in out roster.

Taco time is here...don't let him end up killing it somewhere else.
I'm all for giving him a chance, but unlimited potential is stretching it a bit. He is tall no doubt, but from what I've seen he's way too slow, both end line to end line and laterally, to play in the NBA. There's a reason he wasn't drafted, there was literally no team that thought he was worth even a late second round pick.

If he was so smart he would have started playing basketball a few years earlier :D.  His potential is actually extremely limited by being a big stiff!

If anything, it will be a 2way but that could possibly leave waters out and I don't think they are going to give up on him because of his passing ability.

ONE MORE TIME, Yabu's time has come, gotta go! It was fun while it lasted but it's time to give others a shot. They never play guys in 3 SL, he's on his way out if he doesn't dominate and probably even then he's out. Playing him so a team will pick him up after we let him go (trade and release probably). Even Semi isn't suiting up (IIRC), IMO that speaks volumes. Also, this will be his 4th season, 3rd with the big club if he sticks, he was a draft and stash season 1.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

People brush him aside.

People. He's not another rookie. He's the biggest dude in NBA history. You want talk high upside. Tacko has the "highest" upside around.

Who's got more upside Yabu or Tacko. Maybe that shoud be the poll.

Actually Gheorge Muresan and Manute Bol are the tallest people in NBA history. Muresan actually averaged a double double in 1995-96  :o

According to me he's the biggest player ever in the numbers that matter most.

 Standing reach Rudy Gobert 9'8"
                             Tacko Fall.     10'2.5"

Does he make the roster? No. If there's anything we've learned over the past 5 years it's that the center position is changing drastically, and the game is demanding more from bigs in order to secure a spot in this league. The prototypes are typically a rim-running defensive specialist (e.g., Capela, DeAndre Jordan), floor-spacing shot blocker (e.g., Lopez, Gasol), or all-around freakish All-Star (e.g., Embiid, Davis, Cousins). Tacko can block shots, sure, but he has no jumper, can't get up and down the floor well enough to score in transition, and has suboptimal athleticism (i.e., lateral quickness) to allow him to defend the pick-and-roll and isolation scorers.

I'd love to see it work but there's a reason he went undrafted. Here's hoping I'm wrong for our sake.

Don't you think that 'unlimited potential' for an undrafted player is a huge exaggeration???

I like him better as a 15th player than yabushele but the truth is that huge immovable centers like him are a thing of the past

If guys like Boban or Mejri got playing time last Season, I don't see why Tacko shouldn't play.
He might not be as versatile as Yabu... but he should be more fun to watch... and that might draw more viewers - DA and CBS have to consider that. ;)
Disappointment is anger for wimps.

Thon Maker. the point of the video was just to get to know Taco he's the greatest kid in the world.

If you don't understand what a 10 ft to standing reach and a guy that can run the court pretty effortlessly can do for your basketball team you need to read up on basketball

I think you are the one not paying attention to modern basketball. Probably 32gms who ignored his unlimited potential twice also need to read up on basketball.

BTW who cares if he is a nice guy or not? We are not looking for a son in law!

Classic low risk high reward. He has serious deficiencies at this point, but he’s also shown he can do some things at a high level. UCF had a higher strength of schedule last year than Gonzaga, and was 1 play away from upsetting Duke and going to the Sweet Sixteen. Tacko shot 75% from the field and of course rebounded and blocked shots.

His skill level and movement may never cut it at the NBA level, but having *the* best length in the entire league with good health and tons of practice could at least yield a situational weapon.

Leg and upper body exercises and free throw shooting are must daily routines.

He should set his sights on regularly challenging our bigs on every team practice. On half court plays, his defense might come out a big surprise for everyone. His presence in the paint might force other opposing bigs to take more outside shots effectively negating their inside offense.

I wish he could make it to the final roster.

I actually was surprised how well he moves, I was expecting him to be less mobile and a bigger stiff.  While. he is not fast. I was impressed how he runs the floor and the like for a guy his size.
