incredible comeback.  shouldn't have dug as deep a hole as they did but what an effort to come back to win this.

officiating was awful.

I normally don’t like to complain about the officials but there was some weird stuff out there.

A lot of very strange calls in this one.

I would describe it as inconsistent. Sometimes the refs let them play. Sometimes they were tight. Hard to catch a rhythm, especially defensively.

CStrong connection annoying all night -- saves us from a mountain of negativity for half the game.  C's were legit bad.

I was as down as I have ever been when the C's were down 19 in this one.  Thankfully, C's come back and finish this one.

Hayward contirbutes, Yabu contributed.  Jaylen only shot 3 times -- but made them all.  Tatum another lackluster scoring game, but did have 5 assists and 8 boards.
I actually wouldn't turn on the game in the first half when I saw the score - tired of being aggravated watching them.  Finally relented for the 4Q.

Most interesting to me was Brad sitting Brown and Tatum down the stretch and benching Theiss which was long overdue.  Nice job by Yabu. I hope he gets more minutes moving forward.

Kyrie is still on a roll and the five that Brad used down the stretch really locked in defensively.
LOL, I turned it off at halftime after being aggravated watching them.

That's exactly what I did, but thankfully caught the last 5 minutes after checking the scores on my phone

I'm appalled at you ... intentionally giving up half way ...😁

Kyrie was fantastic, Tatum was off his game again and not assertive.   Someone needs to tell him you're our second option.

Happy for Gordon, Horford was great down the stretch.

I think Jaren Jackson Jr. could be special for Memphis someday.

We live by three. and missed a lot in the first half but heated up in the second. and die by three.

I think he's our 3rd option after Morris. That is why Morris came back into the game late and did what Morris does. But that put back dunk last night by Tatum was special.

Actually Tatum was subbed back in for Morris between free throw attempts late in the 4th before Morris hit his two big shots down the stretch, but the refs forced Stevens to put Morris back in for Tatum because the substitution was illegal, then there was no break in play again until after the Celtics took control

I would like to see that whole sequence again because the way I saw it was that Brad subbed Morris in for Tatum and then the ref made him go back to bench and then for some reason he subsequently allowed the sub which made no sense to me. I thought they subbed Morris in for Tatum - disallowed it and then allowed it. Can someone provide that sequence on youtube? But regardless Morris is "Money" and I feel more confident in his shots than Tatum at this point.

Only caught the first half. The blog was super patchy with the connection.

One guy on Reddit (or is it CelticStrong?) noted Hayward can't blow by Noah. I guess Hayward has never had the shiftiness that Pierce had - he needs his strength and confidence back in order to bang down jumpers to keep defenses honest.

I don't recall what he is referring to but I was encouraged by Hayward's play last night. I think he played a solid game. 6-11 shooting, 3 reb, 4 ast. He is not looking for his offense which is good on this team. He is looking to make plays. I have been down on him recently but last night gave me some hope.

You are 100% correct hpantazo. I was killing myself trying to find a full game replay and couldn't but then I realized I had taped the game. It was 95-94 Boston at the time with Horford at the line with 3:19 left. Brad tried to sub Tatum for Morris and it was not allowed. Morris went "money" mode from that point and thanks for clearing that up for me and thank you ref for not allowing the substitution.

I was worried at first, thinking what if Morris staying in instead of Tatum causes us to lose the game, and I was ready to blame the ref. Then Morris came through big time and it was all good!

I want to see more of that closing lineup. They looked really balanced, tough defensively, lots of passing. Know where their shots are coming from.

I looked up that lineup, they've only played 11 minutes this year.
