Overall - 86

Starters:
K. Perkins - 70
K. Garnett - 91
P. Pierce - 91
R. Allen- 86
R. Rondo - 71

Bench:
G. Pruitt - 70
E. House - 68
T. Allen - 67
L. Powe - 66
P. O'Bryant - 63
G. Davis - 62
B. Scal - 58

Observations:

Pierce

Finally broke into the 90's which  I thought was overdue...

Pruitt and Perk

Same rating of 70? Are you Kidding me?  Perk should be a 73-74 at least

Rondo
I think a 74 -75 is more like it

Makes no sense whatsoever. How does Perkins and Pruitt have the same rating? And how does Rondo only have 71? Perk should be 74 and Rondo should be 77
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

Help us out with some comparisons, how are other teams/players ranked?

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

The only other one that's been released is LA:

Overall - 85

Bynum - 79
Gasol - 87
Odom - 85
Bryant - 98
Fisher - 72

I don't know the bench right now...

My source NBA Live 09 preview downloadable from Xbox live.

on the topic of NBA live 09, if anyone hasn't played the demo yet, I suggest you do. From my perspective and the opinions of others, EA have really stepped it up with some great features (particualy the DNA 365 and NBA academy). The demo is great, there's a bit of a learning curve with the lockdown defence and pick n roll controls, but great when you pull them off.

While 2k9 havent released a demo yet (should be soon withing a week or two) I think Live will definently give them a run for their money.

i don't understand why pruitt is so overrated. to say he's just as good as rondo... i don't believe that.

with perkins being 70... well thats a lot more than just defense factored in. in 2k8 perkins is rated low but still plays well. its the shooting, speed, athleticism that is lowering it.

Become Legendary.

Yes I have. That's what I'm basing these #'s on... I'm waiting to try 2k9, but I can't imagine it matching this game. I think NBA LIVE gets the love this year.

I am not much for all these games, but didn't everyone notice how valuable Perk was to this team in the playoffs when he didn't play and we got pushed all over the court.  I don't understand how he is a 70 and Bynum is a 79.  I haven't really seen that much from Bynum, but all the basketball so-called experts keep insisting he is the real deal.  I haven't been overly impressed from what I have seen.

It cuz they game Perkin a -5 grade for shoulder.

I hope they gave Perk a high grade in dribbling after that behind the back move he put on Washington!

  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
Perk wasn't even that bad to play with when he first came into the league. I want to say he was high 50's low 60's but he had 99 power so that he was like Shaq with the ball close to the hoop.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

There's the proof. If these are the legit #'s(Which I don't doubt your credibility)then there is proof that the gamers don't watch enough sports or have enough common sense to give realistic ratings for the players(or teams).
BBD is better than Pruitt. Tony Allen, House, and Powe are better than Pruitt. Rondo is WAAAY better than Pruitt, and Perk has proven himself into at least 75 status. The thing I hate about buying new sports games every year is having to go through with each team and player to fix the rosters and player ratings to make sense. I never exaggerate either(like making Garnett 99 with 3point range) Oh well. By the time I fix the 2k8 roster, 2k9 should be in stores.
Can't stop, Rondo!
