Randall Cunningham assistant coaching UNLV track

NFL great and UNLV alum has joined the track team as an assistant coach for jumps. Not as strange as it sounds as Cunningham is a fairly accomplished track coach,  coaching athletes in 2 Olympics and 7 world championships.  His children are top level high jumpers including the youngest who is a junior at UNLV (his son is a 2 time ncaa Champ and his other daughter has won multiple medals at WC's and is signed by Nike).

So it’s possible there is something to genetics?
