i watched most of the game and focused on melo.
he has talent and can become a good center in the nba. but, he needs a LOT of practice and playing time to improve his skills. his jump shot will be ok and his little hook shot will be good.....some day.
tonight it seemed that he often rushed his shots or did not take them in the best position. more experience will help calm him down. with a few thousand reps the hook shot will be money.
on defense, he has good size and movement. he tries to box out but was only so-so i thought. also, too often he missed a switch or let his man get loose. inconsistent is the word for him right now. again experience will help him.
on rebounds, he doesnt really go after them with force. other players seem to want them rebounds more than melo. his size helps him in the d-league, but in the nba it will be must harder for him.
he is good at blocking shots. good timing and anticipation from the weak side.
