Hayward would have bee good defensive matchup vs Luka Monday. Wonder who will cover him —Smart or Brown?

Typically Brown guards our toughest offensive matchups.  His extra length also makes sense since Luka is 6'7.

Yeah, Luka was always going to see a healthy dose of Brown and Smart, and now he’ll just get more of them I imagine.

It sucks that he got his hand broken by Aldridge on a dirty play.

The only fortunate thing is that it is his non shooting hand.

It is possible that if he gets the surgery, they could put a cast on the hand and he might be able to return sooner.  Though I dunno if you risk that and just make him sit until the hand is fully healthy.
I didn't think that was dirty by Aldridge at all. Aldridge attempted to set a pick, was late and the collision happened. 99.999999999999% of the time, no one gets hurt on something like that. The break happened simply because Hayward got his arm caught in a weird angle a split second before the impact on his wrist/hand area.

Here is the video. There is nothing dirty there.

100 % agree ,   I did not see anything dirty either.  Yes , the better angles show s how his hand impacted at a funny angle .   Like his leg it was a very odd injury .  You can see him wince the instant his hand hits LA.  I thought he dislocated his index finger .

I dont think you guys understand how much the Cs are going to miss GH. He was having an all-star season. The offense was running through him.

I've been checking the forum the whole day about news on the injury. Realised just now that it isn't even Monday yet...

Gordon Hayward fractured the fourth metacarpal bone (ring finger) in his left hand. As @wojespn reported, Hayward will see a hand specialist in New York to determine if surgery is necessary.

Fourth metacarpal fracture is same injury that Aron Baynes suffered last year and team announced 4-6 week recovery (he was back exactly 4 weeks after injury but remember that Baynes typically defies conventional timeline logic)

It was a hip check but I see no evidence of an intent to injure.

@ GSW 11/15
@ SAC 11/17
@ PHO 11/18
@ LAC 11/20
@ DEN 11/22
vs SAC 11/25
vs BRK 11/27
@ BRK 11/29
@NYK 12/1
vs MIA 12/4
vs DEN 12/6
vs CLE(4 weeks from this Monday, Dec 9)
@ IND 12/11
vs PHI 12/12
(5 weeks from this Monday, Dec 16)
@ DAL 12/18

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
