He can't shoot but a good energy big off the bench that can bang.
He’s likely the starter. Theis to the bench.

This is a very good move. Very good fit for the Cs.

lol based on what?

Based on our huge need for a big man who can defend and grab rebounds. If we had someone like that last season we would have beaten LA in the Finals instead of getting embarrassed by Bam and the Heat

Gotta be happy with TT at the MLE.

Fit, shmit, he's 28 years old, averages a double-double, and plays hard at a position of major need.

Thompson / Theis / Williams is a totally respectable rotation at the 5.

Does anyone know how he does defending some of the better bigs in the league?

When he is "on" he has possesed eyes. He can reach another level.

Some people already forgot how devastating he was against us in the playoffs. It didnt matter if it was Baynes or Horford.   He beat both to rebounds

Yeah, he was one that always killed us with his energy and pure size, strength, and aggressiveness.

I wonder where Baynes ends up now.

In theory we could still add him with Kanter's trade exception.

So a sign and trade with Phoenix? How much can the C's offer Baynes using TPE(s)?  Can TPEs be combined?

And how can this benefit Phoenix? Are the Suns then able to use a TPE from the deal?  Are C's allowed to add future picks in an S&T using trade exceptions?

I guess we can still sign Klutch Sports clients. Thanks for taking Danny's call, Rich Paul.

I always thought he was a really good defender. Still pretty young.  This is a good signing.

Awesome signing!  ;D

Finally a big man that can rebound and actually go up against some of the better bigs in the league (or at least not get pushed around by them often). He can rebound and defend well.

I think he could also help/mentor guys like Timelord going forward

Saves Danny, in the eyes of many fans. Thompson is an inside player, where the Celtics are weakest.

Now, if Stevens plays him 25 mins  and keeps him away from the 3P line, they'll be just fine. An upgrade over GH for their needs.

Oh man! Wasn’t even thinking about Bam! That’s a good point - he’s a great matchup to keep up with someone like Bam. I’ll be interested to see how he does against Embiid. He’s only 6’9” but he’s long (7’2” wingspan) and solid (255 lbs +) while still being quick and athletic.

So aggressive... marcus morris went crazy after a bucket... remember... TT went ballistic after that. Like waking up a bear

We could have really used his fire against the Heat last season.  He would have not let Bam get his way

Yeah Brad will coach the tough inside game out of him. Yeah!!

He's going to have to learn how to grab offensive boards from the 3pt line
