I'm in the camp that doesn't believe he intentionally sabotaged the team. Like others said, he got a false sense of confidence after game 1 and then when the Bucks came back at the C's in game 2, he had no fight because he already had one foot out the door.

When you're the best player and team leader, actively checking out and quitting on the team and its schemes results in the same thing as sabotage. That's the burden of being in that position, you don't get to check out.

I don't think that he wanted to sabotage the team (and himself) last year.
He just did what he does, and that sabotaged his own team.
It is not deliberate, it is just the way he does things. How he interacts.

He might have some mental issues and that is not easy for anyone to experience.
I might make a joke on his account from time to time, but I hope he finds his inner peace.

I think he just lay down and downed tools when things weren't going well, I don't think he actively sabotaged us. Still do not like him one bit, mental issues or not.

What?  No poll?

I think we know how one-sided that would be.

Yeah, not deliberate or calculated sabotage.  Subconsciously destructive I think.  Compelled to create some level of chaos or dysfunction.

I think this discussion is like splicing hairs blindfolded in a fog-filled room.

We don't really have any idea what was going on in Kyrie's head.  We can only observe what he did.

Observationally it looked very much like sabotage.  But since what you said is true...I have to walk that back to what Neurotic Guy said...

Giving up, by the way, can create this kind of look....then you can tell yourself at some level you didn't try your hardest...because what's the use when the other team is so good....and then on some level you save face.
