I am sitting down with Lebron and convincing him to re-sign with the promise of trading the Brooklyn pick, Thompson, Shumpert, Frye, Rose, Love for Gasol, Conley. Watching the game, their team chemistry is terrible and their backcourt is atrocious. The worst players to have on your team are former washed up superstars who don't understand their new limitations and that is Rose and Wade. Love isn't a centre and Thompson offers nothing on offence, I think this is the best deal Memphis can get and gives them the chance to stay somewhat competitive while getting a future franchise guy in return. A starting five of Gasol, Crowder, James, Smith, Conley (with Wade, Thomas off the bench) is perfectly balanced and offers rebounding, size, defence, versatility, spacing and shooting. Every time Gasol have played the Warriors he's burned them with his size and post game and Conley is the point for a Lebron team as he (along with Gasol) have no ego and he is happy off the ball, can shoot and is a scrappy defender. If at seasons end Thomas doesn't want to play off the bench so be it he can leave as you have Conley but if he does you have some cap flexibility with the salary dump of Shumpert and Frye.
