Spurs beat the Rockets this afternoon 100-83.

HOU was missing CP3, but SAS has obviously been missing Kawhi most of this season, and they certainly looked impressive today. Great defense, lots of consistency, solid ball movement and played a complete game.

I think HOU has a chance at taking down Golden State in the WCF (as long as they remain healthy), but this Spurs team certainly could give them fits if they remain as the 4th seed and play HOU in the 2nd round.

Aldridge is proving to be a beast (had 23 points, 14 rebounds today), but he also looks real solid on defense.

But the emergence of Rudy Gay could certainly be a factor. Guy had 21 points today in just 24 minutes, and if he can be their consistent #2 scorer, they could certainly make a run in these playoffs. They won't be favored in series against GSW or HOU, but I wouldn't count them out even w/o Kawhi. Just gotta stay healthy from here on out too.

I'd like to believe the Spurs could turn their season around right now, but perhaps a bit too late.

But it would be fun to watch them upset the Rockets in the postseason. And the Warriors for that matter.

It makes too much sense for them to tank for the 7th. If you are going to face us, the first round makes the most sense with our injury situation. If we end up in first, it will throw off everything and those tankers though.

Winning a first vs. the Wiz without Kyrie will not be easy. We have no proven playoff scorer on our team for crunch time. This is a big issue vs a tough team with multiple proven playoff scorers.

Here is hoping our young duo find their playoff groove but to count on that happening during the last five minutes of the 4th will not be easy for them. Here is hoping team effort can truly win big games when it matters.

yeah I saw that too.  if that keeps up, makes tonight's game versus the bucks that much more important.  Cavs win, C's win, we are only 1 game out of 1st.

The Wizards team really annoys the hell out of me. Feels like that team is just filled with arrogant players led by John "transcendental talent" Wall and Punk Oubre (excuse my language). Of course, that team also underachieves often yet still gets praised by the national media for some odd reason.

Unfortunately, that would be a bad match up for us w/o Kyrie and Smart. Maybe it's best to hope Bucks/Heat keep winning and we stay #2, so WAS ends up falling to #8 lol.
